❚❚❚❚❚ OVERVIEW In this document, you'll find an overview of what to expect from your classroom education during basic training. Please use this space to work together on write-ups for handwaving and/or planning logging opportunities between Leads and Cadets. | ||
❚❚❚❚❚ LESSON PLANS Below is a list of current lesson plans turned in by Leads for their respective classes as well as a directory of links for any relevant logs. Leads: Lesson plans may be turned in either ICly to Shepard or Aeryn, or OOCly using the form below - you do not need to do both unless you'd like to. However, please make sure to turn your lesson plans in in a timely fashion for ease of plotting or handwaving. Lesson plans should ideally be posted no later than three OOC days prior to established lesson dates so we have ample time to keep lists and links updated. That said, there are no repercussion for not posting a lesson plan - it just makes it easier for everyone to plot in one place. Please fill out the form below and post it in the appropriate thread. When posting, please remove the ! from your interior text area codes for ease of copypasta. Any plans you post will be transferred here for quick reference. ✖ PHYSICAL FITNESS EVALUATION #1 (Phase 1) LEADS: L. Shepard & A. Sun SUMMARY: The entry level fitness evaluation. This test is to give Leads an idea of the strengths and weaknesses of incoming Cadets for the lessons to come. Cadets can find a detailed list of requirements and a few forms for the lesson HERE. While it's possible to be miserably bad at this evaluation, it's (thankfully) not possibly to fail. You guys can worry about that later ☺ LOG LINK: N/A, however cadets should fill out their evaluation forms HERE for basic records. TEAMWORK DEVELOPMENT COURSE (BASIC)
✖ CLASS: TEAMWORK DEVELOPMENT COURSE (BASIC)

-------
This course will be handwaved, though characters are free to drop notes in either Kotetsu’s or Barnaby’s inbox about these exercises. Further information can be obtained this way if needed, as well as further one-on-one training. Cadets will be run through a number of different training exercises related to team-building activities and trust.
This includes a brief rundown of team-building tenets in order to put them in the right mindset and help cadets remember that which they believe to be most important. Some of what will be covered here includes: Accomplish your mission while looking out for your fellow cadets. Never quit. Believe in yourself and your team. Co-operate. Focus on mission completion, not glory. Persevere!
… All those kinds of blood-pumping ideologies. Tiger & Bunny are all about using teamwork to accomplish your goal; if you thought otherwise, you’re probably on the wrong course. There will be a lot of “we will” and “we can” types of phrasing used. Without teamwork, here you cannot succeed. During the exercises, cadets will find out exactly why that is.
In addition, there are the exercises themselves, which Kotetsu and Barnaby will run them through. These include:
1. CLIFFHANGER
Hopefully, your character doesn’t mind heights. Characters will have five minutes to develop a plan, and will be timed on completion. Their goal is to safely evacuate planetary specimens that will help with research back at base camp. However, getting back isn’t quite so easy. Characters are facing a large cliff which they must climb, not only getting themselves but their teammates and the samples over safely. Once they have made it to the top of the cliff, a broken bridge with a few too many planks missing awaits them.
Characters will be provided only with one plank, one length of rope, and the specimens in vials that they must deliver safely. Points will be deducted if characters throw the samples, or if they are unsafely stashed.
2. QUICKSAND
Remember those specimens? Did you think that you were out of the woods yet? Out of the woods, into the quicksand. Characters will encounter a large pit of quicksand that stretches right across your path. Taking an alternative route will take too long, so your only choice is to go through it. Sticking out of the quicksand are wooden pillars, just at the right height to move across.
They’re just a little too long to jump over to, though. Once again characters will have two boards available to them, rope, and the specimens. Characters will have five minutes to develop a plan, and will be timed on its execution and its efficiency. Ready to show Tiger & Bunny your teamwork skills?
